Storylines
This Friday marks the opening night of the 2013-14 National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I men's college basketball season. While the University of Richmond Spiders prepare to host to the University of Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens in the newly renovated Robins Center, other teams around the nation are also gearing up for what promises to be a year for the ages.

The University of Richmond men's basketball team kept pace with rival VCU for 37 minutes of Wednesday night's game, but a Rams 14-3 run in the last three minutes of the game proved to be too much, and the Spiders lost, 93-82.

The University of Richmond women's basketball team struggled offensively and was unable to stop the Charlotte 49ers, and lost 64-55 Sunday at the Robins Center.
