What do you do on the weekends?
I drive to North Carolina where I have a house on the Haw River or stay here and write up my research with breaks to watch varsity football, soccer, lacrosse and baseball. Vary partial to the Spiders and Tar Heels.
What's the craziest thing you did when you were in college?
Bermuda, 1966 -- use your imagination -- wildly -- and it wouldn't come close!
What's one thing your students would never guess about you?
I am inordinately fond of extremes in weather and over-the-top technophobic.
