Facilities workers determined that it was possible to break into a locked University Forest Apartment using a flimsy card, such as a SpiderCard, said Carolyn Bigler, assistant director of student housing.

In light of recent breaking-and-entering reports on campus, the University of Richmond housing department will change all locks on the doors of the University Forest Apartments, said Carolyn Bigler, assistant director of undergraduate student housing.
An unidentified male assailant entered a locked Westhampton College apartment around 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 19, marking the second breaking-and-entering case reported this semester.
Two Westhampton College students reported to campus police Saturday that a male intruder had entered their apartment around 5 a.m. and touched them on their legs.
