Spider of the Week: Derrick Williams

Q: What is the biggest reason for your improvement this season?

A: I knew my time was coming to step up and impact this team. Another reason for improvement is that I didn't like how I felt last year, so I made some changes and worked hard in the off-season to change my body and craft.

Q: What is the biggest difference you've noticed in the team between this season and last season?

A: I've noticed about this team that if we play together we are unstoppable. We are more athletic, we can run the floor better, and with the help of Darrius Garrett, we are a better rebounding team.

Q: What can you do to improve?

A: I can become vocal, even on the days that are not going so well, and make sure that even after a tough loss we stay together and attack the next game because we have another chance to win.

Q: How far can this year's team go in terms of the conference and possibly NCAA tournament?

A: As long as we continue to get better every day and attack the game, we should be fine.
